Asko talking about the album:

The idiosynchratic finish trio, back with guitar-based spaced-out bohemian blues-rock and proto-garage-psychedelia, produced by Kramer (Galaxie 500, Daniel Johnston, Ween, Bongwater, a.m.o)
Recorded in just 10 days at the band's own Altai studios the band steps forward with their idea of impressive simplicity, lively trio-playing and good melodies. After periods of heavy experiments in electronic production work, their current concept of keeping things simple was already their approach for the Drops+Kicks (2005) album sessions. Now, with the new album one can hear it in full bloom. For sure there's something consistent, one might call Magic.
P-K Keränen's vocals and guitar playing have gathered depth that one doesn't hear too often. Additionally, drummer Espe simplified his playing to a great effect and sings more touching songs then on any other album. Asko Keränen's sonic bass, weird organs and effects add a room with a view, so specific 22pp and just right for producer Kramer to play with those bits and pieces in a most gentle and subtle way.
Although there are remarkable songs, 'hits' in their vein, - like the easy going opener "Suburban Ladyland" (the single BONE-0109 was the highest entry in Top Ten Finish Single Charts after release), the monstrous "Crazy Meat", the falsetto boogie "Angouleme 2036" (also on 7" vinyl and as videoclip by Vesa Manninen), or the heavenly closing "The Others", a sceptic man's hymn - the 13 songs on "(Well You Know)." rather feature the old-fashioned album concept, before the song collection of the ipod generation.
Chris Bailey of The Saints heard it and wrote: "From the first bars of the opening track you know you are in for a treat, this record is MAGIC. Unlike most recordings these days the album is more than just a collection of random tunes constructed to fit the usual music business marketing straitjacket - it is in fact a tour de force through the very unique musical landscape of 22-PP. Each song has its own personality and reference point which should defy inclusion on the same album yet all combine to create an astonishing journey through all that is glorious about pop music. ...a stupendous piece of work!"
