Summer is starting now
And we know who've started it - at least for us. 4 young men from Turku - Goodnight Monsters bore a challenge: to record a second album that could surprise and refresh at the same degree as their debut did. They fully succeed. Their album "Summer Challenge" is beyond Twee Pop for sure. It's your "Interflora Overdrive" Lovely.
The 7"vinyl single is "Drifting" around Europe already (comes with the B-Side only "Dancehall", also available as MP3 download from Bone Voyage Digital Store

22-Pistepirkko record label is founding member of Hamburg/Germany based Label-WG
A group of Hamburg based labels including German office of Bone Voyage have teamed up in the lovely collaboration Label Wohngemeinschaft. Even though the labels aren’t sharing office space, the term "Wohngemeinschaft" (meaning "flat share") sums up the idea behind, as we "share ideas, suggestions, a little corner of the internet, an occasional ad in a magazine, a stand at a music convention, music on a CD or even the stage of a club for an evening."
Since the start this May we’ve gained a lot of nice press
- incl. a label-portrait in the excellent German fanzine Persona Non Grata
- a Label WG covermount CD compilation in the above-mentioned fanzine
- articles in various German/regional magazines and papers such as Szene Hamburg, KulturNews, U-Mag, Abendblatt, TAZ,etc.
- a radio special on Byte FM and on MDR Sputnik
At independent music fair and festival Pop-Up in Leipzig we just had a joint stand as well as a Label WG concert evening (23.05 at Halle 5), featuring our noisy rocktrio Joensuu 1685 (watch out for their debut 7” single coming soon).

Shamanistic Blues to Euro Capitals.
From the deep North train, train train went to Copenhagen, Berlin, Paris - the first solo performances outside of Finland went pretty well for Tuomari Nurmio aka Judge Bone. People were movin'n'shakin' to the fierce rockin' tunes of Judge Bone. We have just released his english sung album "Big Bear's Gate" in his homecountry Finland, where the raw and primitive live-in-the- garage recordings have been received very well by the media. European releases follow in spring/early summer. We are also looking forward to more live activities. For the Finish summer he has hooked up with Honey B & T-Bones. See the dates

Feeling Dizzy in Japan
Since Dec.08. Micragirls album debut "Feeling Dizzy, Honey?" is out as a domestic release in Japan. We've teamed up with specialized label Peachy Doll Records and CR Japan distribution who have a 12 year track of punkrock. The japanese CD version is a one CD album incl. all the songs from the 2CD plus a video file of Teenage Tiger. The cover is different, and features linernotes by Nikki Corvette (of legendary US girl band Nikki and the Corvettes).

22-Pistepirkko: New album
(Well You Know) recordings and mixes for a new
22-Pistepirkko album are
done.
We are just working to prepare for the release in February 2008.
Actually we are pretty excited and happy...
Mr. Kramer, who have joined as a producer the 10 days recording session at
Altai Studios just send the final mixes from his Florida/USA studio.
TWO SINGLES SHOULD BE OUT BY END OF NOVEMBER/BEGINNING OF DECEMBER.

Bone Voyage invites for an intimate
Blue Hour at Music&Media
On Saturday, October 20th, prior Music&Media festival action brakes loose and people get "lost in music" at the various clubs of Tampere we are having an intimate musical chill at small Ravintola-Artturi, right across the street of YO-talo.

The Micragirls with Heavy Trash in UK, France, Spain
After the team of GO-TEAM! have partied along to The Micragirls on stage of
Provinssirock festival, they’ve invited them to support their september UK
shows. The three girls from Kuopio/Finland had to turn it down at first, as
they had already set-up a Finish tour together with French/Belgium band MOMO
LAMANA. And in fact Momo and Micras had a very good time together. Moreover,
the Micragirls tried something new, just for this tour: They’ve turned from
a gtr-organ-drums trio to a quartet, being joined by Minna from RISTO on
stand-up bass. We might see a continuation of this sooner or later, but not
for their upcoming short tour of Europe in October:
They’ve been asked also by Jon Spencer if they could come on tour with his
new band HEAVY TRASH. They’ve been playing together already in Helsinki, and
as this was a feast, and Micragirls had some spare time in October, this
time the girls said
YES – let’s go...
So this tour is also gonna be Micragirls’ first time in France and Spain

The ALTAI-Studios in helsinki was set up freshly by the band this year and is already in full bloom. Quickly it became the main facility for upcoming Bone Voyage recordings. Recordings which are in the making:
- 22-Pistepirkko have just finished the recording session for their upcoming new album with american producer KRAMER at band's own Altai-studio in Helsinki. The final mix and mastering happens in Florida, USA at Kramers studio. The new 22-Pistepirkko album is planned for an early 2008 release on their Bone Voyage label. KRAMER as an outstanding musician, studio-owner, producer, label-owner (Shimmy Disc) has been working with bands like Galaxie 500, Daniel Johnston, Urge Overkill, Ween, Butthole Surfers a.m.o.
- Goodnight Monsters producing the follow up to their debut together with Petteri Rajanti.
- Joensuu 1685 (young trio, formerly Autopilot) have started the recordings for a debut album together with Leo Fourastié and Asko Keränen
- Anssi 8000 & Hot Coke just recorded new songs and demoes as the duo they are now.
- Tuomari Nurmio started to record with his drummer as Judge Bone & Doc Hill a new set of songs sung in english, together with Pentti Dassum on the desk.
